Those who have spent sometime in Pakistan must know that a frames are very cheap in Pakistan. They are either china made that can cost around 500 PKR and can be a good copy of famous brands like Nautica, Rayban, Gucci, D&G, Georigio Aramani, Emporio Aramani, Versace etc. The better the branded copy is the higher the price will be, the best copy of a branded or designer glasses should not cost more than 2000PKR. I have put one many glasses in United States as well and these copies are not lesser than the original one cost more than $200. You can try many on to find the best comfortable pair for yourself.

Glass Prices:

Plain glass without any coating 250 PKR, more the coating more the price will be. I put the finest glass the optician had with all layers, anti-reflective and, uv-coating etc. It was also thinner glass. That cost 1200PKR per pair of glasses. So the highest price frame 2000PKR and glass 1200PKR cost 3200PKR which is less than $40 in total. Seems like a dream? because in United States the cost can be around $350 for the same pair.

One thing to keep in mind, go to a reliable optician, sometimes they do not make glasses according to prescription, go to the finest optician, he will charge little extra but worth it, still it will beat the United States prices of prescription glasses. Its is advised to order glasses as soon you reach Pakistan so you have time to try these on for sometime to see if it gives you any problem.
