I live in United States, am I eligible for HEC scholarship
Question
I have my M.Sc Math degree from Pakistan. Now I am US resident and I want to study here, my question is Should I be eligible for HEC scholarship? I did my M.Sc in 1989 from Pakistan but here in US I m doing odd jobs so I want to earn a degree from here and get a respectable job in my field. Please guide me.
Answer:
If you are a resident of United States then I guess you are not eligible for HEC scholarship because they sign a bond that you will go back to Pakistan and will spend atleast 2 years there before coming back to United States again. You can look it up on HEC website because they only fund or provide scholarships to students in some specific field like engineering or for MPhil for PhD. You can check yours if applicable.

To get admission you will have to give GRE first, like Virginia Tech university require only general test of GRE for admission in Mathematics. Other universities might have some other requirements. TOEFL is only required for international students, if you are permanent resident in United States then you will not need to give TOEFL.
You can look for universities in United States that offer fun
